I am a first year nursing student and although I have passed all of my Anatomy & Physiology classes with flying colors, I still had a hard time discussing my grandmother’s diagnosis. When disease or illness affects someone close to you, it is a little harder to put your feelings aside and discuss issues in a clear, professional manner. My grandmother found out about her aortic disease and had a ton of questions. I found this video that was presented in a fantastic, concise way that she was sure to understand. I let her watch the video and we discussed it afterward. The explanation was much easier than had I tried to do it alone. I didn’t want to alarm her, nor did I want her to not take this seriously and have the worst possible outcome. Anyways, even after facing their resistance I anyhow graduated with a degree in film-making. That was the most memorable day of my life. Soon I started to direct few small budget movies. But the movies became the box office hits – thanks to critics and new age thoughtful audience. Their reviews made me a reputed and well acclaimed film maker. Within 3 years of starting my career, I managed to establish my own film production company. It was like a dream come true. Residing outside the UK can be very problematic especially for an individual who happens to have his or her family in a foreign country where there are lots of hardships. The Power of Good Photography
Lately, I have really been into landscape photography that captures the merging of urban and wild environments. A photo I am really into these days, in fact I have made it the wallpaper on my computer, is a scene that shows the two seeming to live in harmony. This goes along with the current trend in the political sphere of creating sustainable cities that integrate nature instead of endeavoring to dominate and control it. The photo is what appears to be a wetland park with buildings int he backdrop. But like I say, the way the photo is taken is that it does not appear that either is being subjugated or negated. In fact, the photo suggests that the two can live in harmony, and that this is a good thing both for nature and society. It is amazing that I am able to take that much away from a photo taken from a city park, but that is the power of good photography.
