On My Way Up
I have worked in a hospital for the past 11 years and I love my job. I am a central supply technician and I am one of the people responsible for making sure that all of the rooms in the hospital are equipped with all of the supplies that they need. While I love my job, I am thinking about ways that I can expand on what I am doing and make more money. I would apply for this supervisory position that is available, but I see myself as more of a follower than a leader. I talked with a few of my co-workers about wanting to move up and they suggested I train to be a surgical technician. That sounds like it would be right up my alley, especially considering the fact that the average surgical technician salary is more than what I am currently making. I am going to do some research and see what options may be available to me.
