What to Avoid when Buying Bed Guards for Kids

Filed under: Parenting — Tags: — admin @ 7:56 am

There are several things to avoid when you want to buy a pair of bed guards for kids. These design flaws can make all the difference between a good purchase, and a terrible mistake. So be sure to bear in mind the following:

  • Bed guards that don’t fit on the beds. Sadly enough, this still happens to this very day. Make sure they will actually be able to be used with the bed before you buy them.
  • Sharp corners, poor materials. If you can see obvious signs of bad workmanship and low quality, you shouldn’t even think about buying that product.
  • Bad reviews from other customers. Let’s face it, if other customers couldn’t stand those bed guards, you probably won’t like them much either.
  • A brand with a bad recall history. Not all bed guards made by any brand will be perfect, but if one brand’s keep getting recalled, you shouldn’t risk that purchase.

Add Up More Life to Your Kids Playtime

Filed under: Parenting — Tags: — admin @ 1:40 am

Playtime is important to all kids out there. Parents should give them time every day for interaction with their friends in school so that everything will be balanced. Just be sure that your kids are always safe when playing outside to avoid problems and regrets at the end. But if it is possible for your kids to just play at home while they cannot still manage on their own, it is better. You can just let their classmates or friends come over your house and prepare them some snacks and let them play for the whole day.

For example, you have a daughter who is fond of playing with her friends every weekends; it is advisable for you to provide her with toys that she can share with others. If she is interested in cooking, you can buy her extra of toy kitchen accessories so that when her friends come over, she has something to share with them and they will definitely enjoy the whole time playing with each other.

Times Table Chart Up to 100: Way to Brilliance

Filed under: Parenting — Tags: — admin @ 6:00 pm

There were negative responses regarding the rebirth of times table in our era. First of all, they say, it’s the 21st century and with all the new inventions and technologies, it’s hard to embrace the said idea. Everyone wants it easy and effortless. For them, the times table will give students a hard time. It is indeed true that requires discipline. It needs hard work and a lot of memorization, and because of that a lot of us hate it. But the new times table chart up to 100 believes in the opposite. Times table is like going back to the basic and having the basic knowledge is good especially in the mathematical world. Math has different rules and principles. The calculator cannot give you the knowledge about these things. Another thing is, having memorize the basic numbers, you will be faster than the calculator. The latter output is not instant, while your mind will always know the answer.

What to Do with a Cheating Spouse

Filed under: Parenting — Tags: — admin @ 7:37 am

When our spouses have a Marital Infidelity affair, we immediately blame ourselves as if we were not “good enough”. Before we know it, we’re exhausting all our efforts trying to prove to “ourselves” that we are not damaged. When in reality, we should focus on the fact that somewhere we lost that confidence that say’s, “There’s is nothing wrong with me! You’re the one with the weak character.”

Here’s an interesting tidbit. When my husband confessed, I called his girlfriend and told her that I could not possibly love a man with my husband’s morals and values “as a soulmate.” I told her that I encouraged him to leave our house to go to her. However, he would not leave. I said, “Please call him and welcome him into your home so that I may get him out of MY house.” Guess what? She dumped him.

Many times (if not most), these ladies are out to “compete” due to their own emotional problems. I once read in a book of things kids have to say, “When you’re being dragged. . . Let go of the leash!” Plain logic, huh?

Focus on yourselves my friends and hold on to your self-respect. Until you have it. . . nO one else will.

The Best Games Out There, And Why I Love Them

Filed under: Parenting — Tags: — admin @ 11:27 am

There are so many games out there, and so many of them are really enthralling. For board games, Monopoly has to be the king. There are so many editions it’s hard to get bored of, and its such a simple but interesting game. During summer months my friends and I have averaged 9 hours a week just playing Monopoly. When it is nice and hot outside, pool games can prove to be the most enjoyable. Pool basketball is a fun variation of the land sport, especially since it is easier to dink. The only problem with pool basketball is that hoops can run you anywhere from eighty to three hundred dollars.

These days, judging by a quick glance at an online toys directory, there’s never been more choice for kids in terms of toys available.

Games add a lot spice to life, and without them, everyone’s days would be a little duller.
